Rod Stearn
President and CEO
Mr. Stearn brings to Whitewater over two decades of leadership experience with Baker Hughes, a GE Company (“BHGE”), one of the world’s foremost providers of integrated oil field products, services and digital solutions. He most recently served as BHGE’s Canadian Country Director, a position in which he integrated and led a team of 1,700 employees, boosted oilfield services revenues and significantly enhanced profitability, while also improving safety. Prior to his promotion to Country Director, he served as BHGE’s Canadian Vice President, successfully leading and growing market share for multiple product lines, including water management, pressure pumping, upstream chemicals and oil sands enterprise strategies. Mr. Stearns holds a Masters of Business Administration from Athabasca University.
Keith Murray
Managing Director
Keith has 15 years of experience in the Oilfield Service industry. He has an Undergrad Degree in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from the University of Calgary. Keith started his career as a pricing analyst at Champion Technologies and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Baker Hughes and moved into a Business Development role at Tervita. He recently was Director of Operations and Country Manager for MultiChem a division of Halliburton since 2012.
Travis Dryden
District Manager
Travis Dryden has over 18 years of experience in Speciality Chemicals in various industries, 13 which are specific to Oil and Gas Production Chemicals. Travis has a strong operational background which helps create a superior field support and troubleshooting. Travis’s expansive networking allows him to solve many challenges that may come up in operations.
Cole Maddigan
District Manager
Cole has over 18 years of experience in the Specialty Chemicals market in various roles. Cole has also worked as both a Producer and in the Service Industry. Cole is located in Fort St. John and has worked there for his whole career. Cole has been in multiple management roles and has a created a career as the individual that services his customers by any means necessary and works with anybody to get the job done.

Vincent Walker
Technical Manager
Vince Walker is Catalyst’s Technical Manager, based out of the Fort St. John location. Vince has over 21 years of industry and technical experience, which includes 7 years of analytical laboratory experience and 11 years working with process and production chemicals. Vince has a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating with distinction (honours) from the University of Lethbridge.
Clint Tuffs
Area Manager
Clint Tuffs is a production chemical sales and technical services experienced Area Manager with over 20 years in the oil and energy industry. Throughout his career, Clint has contributed to the development and sustainable growth of many mature oil and gas fields within Central and Northern Alberta while actively participating in the development of products and designed applications for the treatment of emulsions, water clarification, pipeline mitigation, flow assurance, and hydrogen sulphide scavenging for conventional flowing, artificially cold lifted, oil and natural gas production. Clint provides catalyst with a strong focus on service and customer commitment, anyways sharing a variety of experience with an outside the box approach to problem solving.
Ben Niven
HSE Director
Ben Has over 20 years’ experience developing and implementing health, safety environmental transportation programs for the manufacturing and oil and gas industries. Ben has worked for different companies in different Health and Safety roles throughout his career. Ben comes from Secure Energy Services where he was the Manager of Emergency Planning and Security before joining us. Ben brings years of experience and knowledge implementing Health Safety, Environment, fleet transportation and emergency response requirements of ERAP and E2 plans. Ben is a current member with the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers, Gas Processers Association of Canada, Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, National Fire Protection Association, AIFEMA (Alberta Industrial Fire Emergency Management Association) and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
Terina Fells
Technical Consultant
Terina Fells is a Technical Consultant, based in Grande Prairie who works exclusively for CATALYST. Terina has 20 years of oilfield experience, with the last 13 being specialized in production chemicals, focusing on integrity management. Terina has a Chemical Technology diploma from S.A.I.T. and is a member of both NACE and ASET with designations of an Internal Corrosion Technologist from NACE and Certified Engineering Technologist through ASET.
